Lakeland routes Angola in bball action

 

It was a happy Senior Night at Lakeland last Friday, as upperclassmen Tim Abbott and Jalen King led the Lakers to a 48-25 triumph over the visiting Angola Hornets.

Both Abbott and King fired in 15 points for Lakeland, which jumped to a 14-6 lead after one period, then out pointed Angola, 25-8 in the second half to seal the win. The Lakers finished the NECC in fourth place with a 7-3 league mark.

Ryan Gaff paced the Hornets with 12 points.

Lakeland, 8-12 overall, takes on the winner of the NorthWood-Tippecanoe Valley game this Friday in the semifinals of the NorthWood sectional.
