Lakeland and Angola split a middle school track meet last Thursday in the Monument City.
Josh Collyer won four events in leading the Laker boys to an 83-26 triumph. Collyer prevailed in the 400 meters (1:00.50), the 110-meter hurdles (17.20), the long jump (16-5.25) and the shot put (37-10.5).
Johathon Anderson grabbed blue ribbons in the 100-meter (13.30) and 200-meter (27.30) dashes. Also victorious for the Lakers were Drew Faust in the 1600 meters (5:37.80), Tanner Raatz in the high jump (5-0), Arthur Koehler in the pole vault (8-0), Rick Jacoby in the discus (99-3), the 400-meter relay team (51.60) and the 1600-meter relay squad (4:25.0).
The Angola girls squeezed out a 56-53 victory over the Lakeland girls. Event winners for the Lady Lakers were Jaden Conrad in the 200 meters (29.90), Morgan Campbell in the 800 meters (2:57.80), Michaella Burchett in the 1600 meters (6:27.50), Ali Rhodes in the long jump (12-11), Erica DoDane in the shot put (25-2) and the 400-meter relay unit (53.60).
