Lakeland rallied from a 15-point deficit to defeat visiting Central Noble, 45-44 in overtime last Tuesday in NECC girls basketball play.
Trailing 23-9 at halftime, the Lady Lakers began their comeback with a 17-5 spurt in the third quarter which cut the difference to two. The hosts out pointed the Lady Cougars, 9-7 to tie the game at the end of regulation and then forged a 10-9 scoring edge in the extra session to notch their first win of the campaign.
Abi Thompson poured in 15 points and Ashtin Kaminer swished 14 markers to spark Lakeland. Morgan Meyers tallied four.
Thompson also topped the LHS rebound chart with five. Blake Mullet led in both steals with six and in assists with three.
Courtney Steele sank 13 points and Tricia Van Gessel had 11 for Central Noble.
