Lakeland rallied from a nine-point deficit in the fourth quarter to defeat host Wawasee in overtime, 37-33 in a varsity girls basketball thriller played Tuesday night.
Trailing 23-14 after three periods, the Lady Lakers put together a 12-3 run in the final stanza to knot the count at 26-all and send the contest into an extra frame. The hosts then out pointed Wawasee, 11-7 to secure their second triumph of the campaign.
Abi Thompson led the Lady Laker effort with 15 points, five rebounds and two steals. Ashtin Kaminer delivered seven points, three steals and three assists. Nicole McKibben collected six points, Becca Levitz four points and four steals, and Blake Mullet four points and three rebounds.
Allissa Flores netted nine points and Kylee Rostochak sank seven for Wawasee.
