Lakeland girls even record at Eastside

Lakeland leveled its NECC girls basketball slate at 3-3 with a 44-32 triumph at Eastside Saturday night.

Coach Sheila Moore’s Lady Lakers scrapped their way to a 28-25 lead through three quarters. The visitors then sealed their win with a 16-7 finishing kick.

Ashtin Kaminer racked up 14 points, five steals and two assists for Lakeland, now 5-7 overall. Becca Levitz pitched in 11 points and two steals, while Abi Thompson totaled eight points, eight boards and two assists. Carlee Richardson had four points and five rebounds, Nicole McKibben three points and three steals, Molly Landers two points and Mackenzie Loy two points.
