Jalen King swished 34 points for Lakeland in an 85-72 NECC boys basketball victory over visiting Central Noble last Thursday night.
King netted half of his markers from the free throw line, where he was 17-23. As a team, the Lakers received 42 charity tosses and connected on 32 of them.
Spencer Mortola and Chandler Mynhier each finished with 15 points for Lakeland. Cody Richardson put in 12 points and Marco Olivares, who went 7-7 from the foul stripe, had nine.
Nick McCoy topped the Central Noble scoring column with 32 points. Alex Vice chipped in 17 points and Austin Pulver 13 to the Cougar attack.
The triumph lifted Lakeland to 5-3 in league play and to 6-10 overall.
