LaGrange Superior Court News

 

The following people recently appeared before the Judge George E. Brown in the LaGrange County Superior Court:

Samuel Eicher, LaGrange, convicted of Operating While Intoxicated, a Class A misdemeanor, and Operating a Vehicle While Never Licensed, a Class C misdemeanor, was sentenced to 365 days in the LaGrange County Jail for Ct. I and 60 days for Ct. II, all suspended, 12 months probation, 60 hours community service, driver’s license suspended for 90 days, and $471.50 in fines and court costs.

Pedro Martinez, LaGrange, convicted of Operating While Intoxicated, a Class A misdemeanor, Ct. I, and Operating A Vehicle While Never Licensed, a Class C misdemeanor, Ct. II, was sentenced to 365 days in the LaGrange County Jail for Ct. I and 60 days for Ct. II, all suspended, 12 months probation, 60 hours community service, driver’s license suspended for 90 days, and $361.50 in fines and court costs.

Devin Combs, Rome City, convicted of Visiting a Common Nuisance, a Class B misdemeanor, was sentenced to 180 days in the LaGrange County Jail, suspended, 12 months probation, 36 hours community service, and $316 in fines and court costs.

Hugo Rodriguez, Ft. Wayne, convicted of No Operator’s License in Possession When Required, an infraction, was sentenced to $152 in fines and court costs.

Eduardo Perez, Sturgis, Mich., convicted of Operating While Intoxicated, a Class A misdemeanor, was sentenced to 365 days in the LaGrange County Jail, all but 10 days suspended, 12 months probation, 24 hours community service, driver’s license suspended for 90 days, and $366.50 in fines and court costs.

Haley Landers, Waterloo, Ind., charged with No Operator’s License in Possession When Required, an infraction, was sentenced to $152 in fines and court costs.

Michael Harrold, LaGrange, convicted of Carrying a Handgun Without a License or Permit, a Class A misdemeanor, was sentenced 365 days in the LaGrange County Jail, suspended, 12 months probation, 24 hours community service, and $316 in fines and court costs.

Theodore Wright, Goshen, convicted of Reckless Driving, a Class B misdemeanor, was sentenced 180 days in the LaGrange County Jail, all but four days suspended, 12 months probation, 24 hours community service, and $276.50 in fees and court costs.

Kevin Mast, Middlebury, convicted of Maintaining a Common Nuisance, a Class A misdemeanor, was sentenced to 365 days in the LaGrange County Jail, credit for time served and balance suspended, 12 months probation, 80 hours community service, and $316 in fines and court costs.

Mark Hauguel, Ligonier, convicted of Operating While Intoxicated, a Class A misdemeanor, was sentenced to 365 days in the LaGrange County Jail, all but 10 days suspended, 12 months probation, 24 hours community service, 90 days probationary license, and $466.50 in fines and court costs.

Isaac Cash, LaGrange, convicted of Possession of Marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor, was sentenced to 365 days in the LaGrange County Jail, suspended, 12 months probation, 48 hours community services, and $351 in fines and court costs.

Kristie Searls, Shipshewana, convicted of Criminal Mischief, a Class A misdemeanor, was sentenced to 365 days in the LaGrange County Jail, suspended, 12 months probation, 24 hours community service, and $216 in fines and court costs.

Christine Wittrig, LaGrange, convicted of Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance, a Class D felony, was sentenced to 365 days in the LaGrange County Jail, all but 30 days suspended, 12 months probation, and $266 in fines and court costs.

Tricia Benhower, LaGrange, convicted of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, a Class C felony Ct. I, and Resisting Law Enforcement, a Class A misdemeanor Ct. II, was sentenced to four years with the Department of Correction for Ct. I and one year for Ct. II, two years suspended, two years probation, 36 hours community service, and $266 in fines and court costs.

Jamie Cowan, LaGrange, convicted of Domestic Battery, a Class D felony, was sentenced to 1½ years with the Department of Correction, all but 180 days suspended, 12 months probation, 36 hours community service, and $216 in fines and court costs.

Justin Geigley, Topeka, convicted of Driving While Suspended, a Class A misdemeanor, was sentenced to 365 days in the LaGrange County Jail, all but four days suspended, 12 months probation, 40 hours community service, and $316.50 in fines and court costs.

Dalton Jones, LaGrange, convicted of Driving While Suspended, a Class A misdemeanor Ct. I, and Public Intoxication, a Class B misdemeanor Ct. II, was sentenced to 365 days in the LaGrange County Jail for Ct. I and 180 days for Ct. II, all but 12 days suspended and credit for time served, 12 months probation consecutive to Noble County probation, and $216.50 in fines and court costs.

Adam Staton, Topeka, convicted of Operating While Intoxicated, a Class D felony, was sentenced to 1½ years with the Department of Correction, all but 200 days suspended, sentence may be served on home detention if eligible, 12 months probation, 36 hours community service, driver’s license suspended for one year, and $366.50 in fines and court costs.

Hugo Mondragon, Howe, convicted of Operating While Intoxicated, a Class D felony, was sentenced to 1½ years with the Department of Correction, all but 200 days suspended, sentence may be served on home detention if eligible, 12 months probation, 24 hours community service, driver’s license suspended for one year, and $316.50 in fines and court costs.

Mathew Crawford, Sturgis, Mich., convicted of Resisting Law Enforcement, a Class A misdemeanor, was sentenced to eight days in the LaGrange County Jail, credit for time served,  and $316 in fines and court costs.

Lashonda Wilcox, Kendallville, convicted of Conversion, a Class A misdemeanor, was sentenced to 365 days in the LaGrange County Jail and $167 in fines and court costs.

Jonathan Miller, convicted of Minor in Possession of Alcohol, a Class C misdemeanor, was sentenced to 60 days in the LaGrange County Jail, suspended, 12 months probation, 60 hours community service, and $266 in fines and court costs.

Carlos Castillo, Sturgis, Mich., convicted of Reckless Driving, a Class B misdemeanor, was sentenced to 180 days in the LaGrange County Jail, suspended, 12 months probation, 80 hours community service, and $266.50 in fines and court costs.

Steven Benson, Fremont, Ind., convicted of Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class D felony Ct. I, Possession of Precursors, a Class D felony Ct. II, and Residential Entry, a Class D felony Ct. III, was sentenced to three years with the Department of Correction for each count, credit for time served and balance suspended, 3 years less 188 days probation, and $648 in fines and court costs.
