National library week…

Kids stop by the children’s department among April 9-14 and create your own bookmark in honor of National Library Week. Then check out some great books and use your bookmark to mark your spot while you’re reading. Plus, if you don’t already have a library card, what better time to apply for one. Ask your parents for a library of your own! Your library card will give you access to books, movies, music, internet, and much more!

Snooze days…

April brings a shower of good books, fun puppets, and crafts you can do with your young child. Join us for great stories and lots of laughs! Every Tuesday at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. come enjoy stories and fun activates for preschool ages children. April 3 is Happy Easter Little Critter. Easter is on its way. April 10 brings around Quiet! There’s a Canary in the Library. Farmer Brown shears his sheep in on April 17. Learn how it goes from warn wool to a colorful spring sweater. April 24 is Rabbits and Rainbows. Learn about April showers and growing things. Come join in the fun.

Field trip day…

Attention homeschoolers: It’s Field Trip Friday. On Friday April 13, we will use puppet play to learn how to use puppets and toys to tell great stories! You can write your own script and perform it for others. Registration is required so contact the main library at 463-2841 to reserve your spot.

Movie of the month…

LaGrange County Public Library will be having their annual movie of the month on April 13 at 6 p.m. Free popcorn will be provided as you watch war horse. Bring your own drink in a covered container. This movie is rated PG-13. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Doors open at 5:45 p.m.

Pricklys story time…

Prickly invites you to visit her at the Topeka Branch Library for stories, crafts, and more. Join us every Wednesday at 10 a.m. in April 4, 11, 18, and 25 for preschool aged fun with Prickly the Hedgehog.

Family Movie Night…

On Friday April 13 enjoy family movie night watching Hop! There will be free popcorn provided. Bring your own drink in a covered container.
