LaGrange Cruise In presents awards

Forty-seven cars registered for the 2015 Open Doors Cruise In last Sunday afternoon at the LaGrange First United Methodist Church.

Best in Show award was presented to Kevin Nichols from Churubusco for his metallic green and vanilla 1954 Chevrolet Belair. Terry Karre’s candy apple red Chevy truck with ghost flames from Elkhart received the Best Exterior award. Best Interior award was presented to Roger and Becky Plaster from Middlebury for their Red Phantom Sedan Delivery car.

A special plaque was presented to Connie Boggs in memory of her late husband, David Boggs, who was a restoration car enthusiast and owner from LaGrange. Boggs organized several previous LaGrange car shows.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the mission efforts of Reason4Hope in LaGrange County. Reason4Hope is a non-profit ministry determined to spread hope to those in need. They operate Hope Coffee House and Café that provides a place to relax, share in devotion and Bible study and a weekly meal. They also have summer block parties and collect school supplies for children in need.

The LaGrange Cruise In event is sponsored by the Northeast LaGrange County Cooperative, a local mission effort of a cluster of United Methodist churches in Northeast LaGrange County.
