Although she had heard of LaGrange County Habitat for Humanity (LCHFH) in the media and from partner families, Heidi Yoder is a newcomer to LCHFH. She joined the board of directors because “I like the idea of not giving homes away, of encouraging the community to be involved with the families.” Yoder is currently pursuing a master’s degree at Indiana Wesleyan while working at Dometic in LaGrange. She and her family live near Howe.
After reading a newsletter from Elkhart County Habitat for Humanity, Carol Miller, who lives near Dallas Lake, felt that a Habitat affiliate “would be something I would like to be involved with.” She had volunteered during a LCHFH build in Stroh many years ago, is “willing to get dirty and to work hard for a great outcome.” She is particularly interested in participating in the 2013 auction, scheduled for Aug. 2.
The slate of LCHFH officers for 2013 is: President – Karen Frederick; Vice President – Ron Hostetler; Treasurer – Nicole Randol; Secretary – Rebekah Trump.
