The LaGrange County Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 4th Annual Power of the Purse, sponsored by CenturyLink, on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at Lakeside Occasions.
Proceeds from this event go to the Community Harvest Food Bank so that the LaGrange Clothes and Food Basket can feed those less fortunate in LaGrange County.
At this time, 22 purses have been donated for the cause. Businesses and individuals who have donated purses are: The Silver Lantern, S&H Metals, Sarah Davis, Janet Byers-Thirty-One Consultant, Tiffany’s Restaurant, Silver Star Leather, Jody Holsinger-Realtor with Real Living Homes and Beyond, Head Over Heels, love, sara, Lake City Bank, Riegsecker Marketplace, Freedom Steel Works, Cook’s Bison Ranch, Lilly Till, LaGrange County Chamber of Commerce, Fiebig Jewelry, Loretta Otto and David Traylor.
The Power of the Purse event is a luncheon, a purse auction, silent auction and a fashion show. This event is for “Ladies Only” but there are a couple of men involved: photographer Guy Thompson and auctioneer Michael Strawser.
An added bonus ladies...this year there will be a male model.
There is still time to purchase tickets, donate a purse, sponsor a table, donate a silent auction item or make a monetary donation, all for a great cause.
If you are unable to attend the event but would like to place a bid on one of the purses, check out the LaGrange County Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook page.
