Ashtin Kaminer poured in 19 points in sparking Lakeland to a 53-49 overtime triumph at Central Noble Tuesday night.
Nine of Kaminer’s markers came on a trio of three-point shots. The senior guard also made three steals and snagged three rebounds.
The Lady Lakers led 27-14 at halftime, only to see the host Lady Cougars out score them, 26-13 in the second half to tie the count at 40-all and force overtime. Lakeland regained control in the extra session, putting together a 13-9 spurt.
Abi Thompson chipped in 15 points, five rebounds, three steals and two assists to the Lady Laker cause. Nicole McKibben ended up with nine points, three steals, three rebounds and two assists. Molly Landers totaled four points and two steals, Mackenzie Loy four points and two rebounds, and Michaela Moore two points.
The victory lifted the Lady Lakers to 2-0 in the NECC and to 4-1 overall.
