Fairfield pulled away from Prairie Heights, 51-28 in NECC girls basketball play Saturday evening in Benton.
Six points by Tianna Terry and four by Shawna Carbone sparked the Lady Panthers to a 10-8 lead after one quarter. But that would be the last advantage coach Kevin Frey’s squad would see, as the host Lady Falcons went on a 43-17 tear over the final three stanzas to claim the triumph.
Megan Beasley and Emily Beasley led the Fairfield scoring effort with 16 and 11 points, respectively.
Tianna Terry and Carbone each finished with eight markers to top the Heights scoring column. Carbone also led the Lady Panthers on the boards with seven rebounds, followed by Tressa Terry with six.
The loss left Prairie Heights with a 3-1 league mark and a 5-2 overall slate.
