Lakeland’s Isaac Kilgore finished in a tie for 12th overall at the Lafayette Jeff Classic boys golf tournament played Saturday at the Battle Ground Golf Club.
Kilgore carded a seven-over par 79, knotting him with eight other linksters in 12th position. Taking first place with a one-over 73 was Jake Brown of Carmel. Graham McAree was second with a 75.
Brown’s medalist effort also led his Greyhounds to the team championship with a score of 311. Hamilton Southeastern was second with a 314 tally.
Lakeland wound up 19th on the team list with a total of 364 strokes. Following Kilgore in the Laker order were Brad Pearson with an 87, Lukas Long with a 96, Cole Long with a 102 and Alec Wannemacher with a 104.
