Kendallville couple stopped on stolen moped, meth discovered

 

On June 30, an officer from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department made a routine traffic stop on a 2007 Zuma moped that was traveling on CR 675E at CR 700S. The vehicle identification number (VIN) on the moped was checked and it was listed as stolen out of Hillsdale, Mich.

The subjects riding the moped, Christopher Myers, 22, and Jessica Myers, 19, both of Kendallville, were taken into custody and officers allegedly located a smoking device containing a white powdery substance in of Christopher Myers’ pocket. He was booked into the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department for auto theft, possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, and maintaining a common nuisance. Jessica Myers was booked into the LaGrange County Jail for visiting a common nuisance.
