Kelli Cook has been awarded the Farmers State Bank, Perkins Family, and Prairie Heights Student Council Leadership scholarships at the Prairie Heights High School award event which took place on May 17.
She is the daughter of Robert and LeAnn Cook of Angola. One $1,000 Farmers State Bank Scholarship is offered annually to qualified candidates in each of four local schools through the LaGrange County Community Foundation (LCCF).
The $500 Perkins Family Scholarship was established by Miles and Judith Perkins and is exclusively available to graduating seniors at Prairie Heights. Both scholarships emphasize financial need.
The $250 Prairie Heights Student Council Leadership Scholarship requires at least two years of documented leadership with the student council and emphasizes a record of community service.
Cook was selected for these scholarships by the LCCF Board of Directors at the recommendation of the foundation’s Scholarship Advisory Committee. Her academic and career plans are to study medicine and become a doctor.
