Kathleen Gibson, 82, Stroh, Ind., died Wednesday, July 17, 2013.
She was born April 4, 1931, in Wayland, Ky., to Levi and Elzena (Tuttle) Tuttle.
Raised in Hindman, Ky., she moved to Stroh, Ind., in 1952. She worked at Dana Corporation in Angola, Ind., for 25 years before retiring in 1991. She was a member of the Stroh Volunteer Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary for many years and was a member of Mt. Calvary United Baptist Church in Stroh, Ind.
She was married February 28, 1949, in Vest, Ky., to Earl Dan Gibson. He preceded her in death on June 24, 2001.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Rose and Charles Ritchie, LaGrange, and Rita and Floyd Miller, LaGrange; one son, Larry and Carol Gibson, Chipley, Fla.; four granddaughters, Lynda and Robert Conner, LaGrange, Amanda and Jon Mavrick, Mexico, Melinda and Mark Albert, LaGrange, and Melissa and Terry Bontrager, Shipshewana; three grandsons, John Ritchie, LaGrange, Brandon Gibson, stationed in Hawaii in the U.S. Marine Corps, and Cole Gibson, Homer, Mich.; 14 great-grandchildren; and one sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Lexie Patrick, LaGrange.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Barbara Sue Gibson, one sister, Cordie Wicker, and four brothers, Adrain Tuttle, Aaron Tuttle, Forest Tuttle, and Ray Tuttle.
Funeral serviceswere held Monday, July 22, at Hite Funeral
Home in Kendallville with Reverend Willie Collins and Reverend Carl Ritchie officiating.
Burial is in Brushy Chapel Cemetery, LaGrange County.
