Karen S. Holsinger, 71, Wolcottville, died Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at her residence.
She was born September 25, 1942, in Kendallville, Ind., to Carl and Bonnie (Wray) Knafel. They preceded her in death.
Living all her life in the area, she was a waitress at the Twin Six Restaurant in Wolcottville for 23 years.
She was married June 5, 1960, in Rome City, to John R. Holsinger Jr. He survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Dawn (Mike) Figgins, Colon, Mich., and Jill (Willie) Wright, Rome City; two sons, Jeff (Tonda) Holsinger, Wolcottville, and Brad (Judi) Holsinger, Avon; 12 grandchildren, Melinda (Fred Williams) Figgins, Erica (Jeff) Sickles, Kyle Figgins, Brian Figgins, Colton Wright, Chevy Wright, Cassandra Wright, Chelsea Holsinger, Keaton Holsinger, Kendyll Holsinger, Desiree (Stephen) Reynolds, and Carlee Holsinger; three great-grandchildren, Derrick Lockwood, Trevor Sickles, and Brystol Reynolds; one sister, Connie (Clairdon) Strater, Kendallville, Ind.; and one brother, Terry Knafel, Indianapolis, Ind.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 16, at Young Family Funeral Home Wolcottville Chapel with Reverend Carldean Merrifield officiating.
Burial is in Woodland Cemetery, Wolcottville.
