Juvenile admits to more thefts while questioned

On February 10, an officer from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department was interviewing a juvenile suspect in the recent thefts and school bus vandalism in Howe when the juvenile allegedly confessed to more thefts.

    According to the police report, the juvenile allegedly admitted he and another juvenile male had broken into between five and 12 unlocked vehicles in the area of CR 50E, CR 100E, and CR 600N. The juveniles took a Stanley knife, sunglasses and a Mag Lite from three of the vehicles. The sunglasses and Mag Lite were tossed into the snow down the road from the residences they were stolen from and the Stanley knife was used to vandalize the school buses.

    The juvenile male also allegedly admitted to being involved in the school bus vandalism and theft from one of the buses.
