Julie René Hettenbach, 53, Louisville, Ky., formerly of Wolcottville, died Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the University of Louisville Hospital.
She was born October 30, 1958, in Wolcottville, to David and Hannah (Haney) Kilgore.
Living in Louisville, Ky., for 15 years, she was a graduate of Lakeland High School and Vincennes University. She was known as the “Queen of Resource Development” at Mary Grace Jaeger Education Center, where she worked as a research technician. She worked there with the fundraising campaigns for Metro United Way, Whas 11 Crusade for Children, and Fund for the Arts.
Surviving are her father and stepmother, David and Michelle Kilgore, Wolcottville; two daughters, Jessica Hettenbach and Jenna Hettenbach, both of Louisville, Ky.; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Galati; one grandson, Skyler Biggerstaff; one sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Marc Adams, Chicago, Ill.; one brother, Doug Kilgore, Miller Beach, Ind.; and her grandmother, Virginia Kilgore, LaGrange.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Hannah Kilgore.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, September 7, at Young Family Funeral Home Wolcottville Chapel.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, September 8, at Woodruff Grove United Methodist Church with Reverend Carldean Merrifield and Reverend Frederick Cain officiating. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 15, at Middletown Christian Church in Louisville, Ky.
Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Wolcottville.
