Joyce Maxine Taylor, 85, Wolcottville, died Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Parkview LaGrange Hospital.
She was born November 19, 1926, in Kendallville to Joseph Andrew and Maude Caroline (Franks) Lash.
Moving from Kendallville to Wolcottville in 1965, she attended Kendallville High School and was a member of St. Gaspar Catholic Church. She retired as a seamstress from Starcraft in Emma.
She was married August 6, 1960 to Gordon Lee Taylor. He preceded her in death on April 1, 1969.
Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Gary and Pat Wooten, Rome City, Michael and Marcia Wooten, Wawaka, Ind., and Keith Wooten, Wolcottville; two daughters and one son-in-law, Theresa and Marc Guenin, Kendallville, and Margery Taylor, Wolcottville; 14 grandchldren; 31 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one nephew and niece-in-law, Robert and Gloria Lash, Huntertown, Ind.; a cousin, James E. Lash, Garrett; and her dog, Cuddles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Howard Lash, Vernon Lash, Maynard Lash, Charles Lash, and Carroll Lash, one sister, Margurite Lash, and a daughter-in-law, Ann Wooten.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 14, at Young Family Funeral Home Wolcottville Chapel. Pastor James Archambeault will share memories at 7 p.m.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 15, at St. Gaspar Catholic Church in Rome City with Father Bernard Ramenaden officiating.
Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.
