Joyce L. Erler, 69, Wall Lake in Orland, formerly of Ft. Wayne, Ind., died Sunday, March 4, 2012 at her residence.
She was born January 11, 1943, in Ft. Wayne, to Willard Thomas (Bill) Lopshire and June E. (Dalzell) Lopshire Young.
Moving to the Wall Lake area in 2003, she was a businesswoman and retired real estate broker for Tillbury Construction in Ft. Wayne. She had recently been a sales associate at the Angola WalMart. She was a 1961 graduate of Ft. Wayne Northside High School, a member of the Stock Club in Ft. Wayne, and a former member of the Fort Wayne Lions Club. She was a community volunteer for the Relief for the Blind, Special Olympics, and the Lions Club.
Surviving are one son, Scott and Jodi Erler, Ft. Wayne; three grandchildren, Brook Erler, Krista Erler, and Kaitlyn Erler, Ft. Wayne, Ind.; one great-grandchild, Kayden; two sisters, Sharron Jones, Ft. Wayne, Ind., and Patricia Campbell, Garden City, Mich.; and two brothers, Larry and Janice Lopshire, Greenwood, Ind., and Don Slain, Ft. Wayne.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Cynthia Erler, one brother, Steven Lopshire, and one sister, Mary Anderson,
Visitation is5-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, at Beams Funeral Home in Fremont, Ind.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 8, at Beams Funeral Home in Fremont with Larry Lopshire officiating.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Ft. Wayne.
