Joseph “Ralph” Saddler, 88, Pikeville, Ind., formerly of LaGrange, died January 30, 2013 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
He was born July 5, 1924, in Lawrenceville, Ill., to Charles Clark and Elva (Johnson) Saddler.
He was a graduate of Ft. Branch High School in Ft. Branch, Ind., where he met his first wife, Dixie. He was a WWII veteran, serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, and retired from the ANR gas pipeline company. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Irene Saddler, Pikeville, Ind.; two sons, Rodney (Brenda) Saddler, Crest Hill, Ill., and John (Karen) Saddler, Portage, Mich.; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Saddler, Marion, Ind.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dixie, one son, Michael, two sisters, and two brothers.
Services were held Saturday, February 2, in Huntingburg, Ind.
Burial is in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Ft. Branch, Ind.
