Joseph M. Campbell, 85, Goshen, died Monday, October 29, 2012 at Elkhart Hospice House.
He was born May 23, 1927, in Topeka, to Charles and Lura (Marshall) Campbell.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving from 1945-1946. He was a machine operator at Goshen Rubber for 41 years, retiring in 1992, a special deputy in LaGrange for five years, and worked in security at The Howe School. He was a member of LaGrange American Legion Post 215, and the VFW and DAV, both in Goshen.
He was married May 23, 1945, in LaGrange, to Patty Pierson. She survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Janet (Eli) Miller, Adaline (Rod) Miller, Joan (Perry) Miller, and Patty Jo (Bill) DeWalt, all of Goshen; four grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one brother, Charles Rex Campbell, Santa Maria, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Judy Campbell.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday, November 1, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home in Goshen.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, November 2, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home in Goshen with Reverend Kim Huffman officiating.
Burial with military honors will be in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange.
