John E. Miller, 69, Mio, Mich., formerly of Middlebury, died Monday, January 6, 2014.
He was born March 24, 1944, in Plain City, Ohio, to Reuben D. and Verba (Kauffman) Miller.
He worked for Grumman Olson in Sturgis, Mich., Rhoade’s Tree Service of Goshen, Ind., and Wayne Yoder Woodworking in Middlebury before his retirement.
He was married July 31, 1965 to Dawn Lexa of Denver, Colo. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Charlotte Jean and Gary Dean of Denver, Colo.; one sister, Mary Jane (Melvin) Bontrager, Mio, Mich.; four brothers, Vernon (Elsie) Miller, Homer, Mich., Mose (Katie) Miller, Shipshewana, Melvin (Irene) Miller, Shipshewana, and Reuben (Delila) Miller Jr., Middlebury.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harley and Daniel Miller.
Visitation and funeral services will be held Saturday, January 11, at Kittle Hall in Mio, Mich.
