Jerry Ray Combs, 53, LaGrange, formerly of Wolcottville, died Saturday, December 31, 2011, at his residence.
He was born April 3, 1958, in LaGrange, to Leburn “Lee” and Lucenia (Moore) Combs.
He previously worked at Reliable Tool in Kendallville.
Surviving are his father, Reverend Leburn “Lee” Combs, Wolcottville; one daughter and son-in-law, Courtney and Jeff Thorp, Auburn; three granddaughters, Lexis Thorp, Chevi Thorp, and Grace Thorp, all of Auburn; one grandson, Brandon Thorp, Auburn; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Lillian and John Powell, Findlay, Ohio, Joanna and 1st Sgt. Danny Conley, Fort Riley, Kan., and Shronna and Mike Mast, Rome City; and four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Reverend Clarence L. and Judy Combs, Wolcottville, Kenith Combs, Kendallville, Danny Combs, Wolcottville, and Del and Wendy Combs, Wolf Lake.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucenia Combs.
Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, and 10-11 a.m. Thursday, January 5, at Five Corners Baptist Church in Wolcottville.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 5, at Five Corners Baptist Church in Wolcottville with Reverend Willie Collins and other attending ministers officiating.
Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City.
