Jennie Miller, 85, LaGrange, died Friday, November 2, 2012 at Lifecare Center of LaGrange.
She was born August 17, 1927, in Garrett, Ind., to Charles C. and Dorothy M. (Ridouner) Conkle.
She was a registered nurse and worked at the Tucson General Hospital in Tucson, Ariz. until her retirement. She attended the United Methodist Church in LaGrange, was a former member of the Republican Presidential Task Force, American Federation of Police, American Legion Auxiliary of LaGrange, the Senators Club, and the Congress Club. She also wrote gospel music.
She was married June 9, 1949, in Wabash, Ind., to Charles Ray Miller. He preceded her in death in 1970.
Surviving are one brother, Hershel W. Conkle, Auburn, Ind.; a sister-in-law, May Stewart, LaGrange; one aunt, Mable Hogan, Auburn, Ind.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.
Visitation is 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, at Carney-Frost Funeral Home in LaGrange.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, at Carney-Frost Funeral Home in LaGrange with Pastor Chris Danielson officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange.
