Jean Holsinger, 83, LaGrange, formerly of Mongo, died Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Miller’s Merry Manor of LaGrange.
She was born August 27, 1929, in LaGrange County, to Don and Leta (McGinnis) Preston.
Living all her life in LaGrange County, she was a homemaker and also owned and operated Jean’s Fabric Shop in Mongo. She was a member of the Mongo United Methodist Church and the Mongo United Methodist Women.
She was married September 17, 1948, in Mongo, to Ralph “Tunney” Holsinger. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Tracy Anderson, and her fiancé, Keith Sample, both of Angola, Ind.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Shirley Holsinger, Howe, and Terry and Jody Holsinger, Howe; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Ruth McNabb, and one brother, Denver Preston.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, at Mongo United Methodist Church with Reverend James Bartlett and Reverend Carldean Merrifield officiating.
Burial will be in Mongo Cemetery.
