Jan David Williamson, 75, Rome City, died Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at his residence.
He was born on October 29, 1936, in Auburn, Ind., to John A. and Mary Ellen (Zolman) Williamson.
He was U.S. Army veteran, a truck driver for Frick Services in Wawaka, Ind., for many years, and a member of the Kendallville Moose Lodge and Rome City American Legion.
He was married in 1993, in Wolcottville, to Polly Shepherd. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Sandy Ward, Arkansas, and Patricia Williamson, California; three sons, David Williamson, Edward Williamson, and Peter Montoya, all of California; five stepdaughters, Pauline Selby, Garrett, Ind., Verna Conley, Rome City, Sherry Hazlett, Rome City, Mary Ousley, Garrett, Ky., and Cathy Batcheller, Kendallville; one stepson, Ronnie Conley, Kendallville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joann Marzoline, Carson City, Calif., Sandra Rumsey, Howe, and Judy Steudabaker, Auburn, Ind.; and one brother, Johnny Williamson, Waterloo, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, John Williamson, and one brother, Jimmy Williamson.
Visitation is 2-4 p.m. Sunday, October 7, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange.
