James Eugene “Jeep” Bovee, 85, Pacific Palisades, Calif., died November 7, 2011.
He was born July 29, 1926, in Stroh.
He was a graduate of Salem Center High School and received a degree in business from Indiana University. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany from 1944 until the end of WWII. In his earlier years, he worked for Helm's Bakery and for Great Western Savings and Loan before becoming an investor in real estate.
He was married in 1954 to Alice Lowery Martin. She preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife, Lesby Giron Bovee; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Brad Bovee and Matt and Linda Bovee; and four grandchildren, Blake, Natalie, Kaelin and Bridgette.
He was preceded in death by one son, Terry Bovee.
Private services were held at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills.
