Jacob Fry

Jacob D. Fry, 72, Topeka, died Sunday, June 28, 2015 at IU Health Goshen Hospital.

    He was born September 8, 1942, in LaGrange, to Dan J. and Lydia (Helmuth) Fry.

    He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and provided horse shoeing services.

    He was married November 1, 1962, in LaGrange County, to Pollyanna Miller. She survives.

    Also surviving are seven sons, LeRoy (Linda) Fry, Topeka, David Fry, Ypsilanti, Mich., Daniel (Velda) Fry, Millersburg, Ind., Alvin (Esther) Fry, Wolcottville, Delbert (Linda) Fry, Topeka, Harley (Etta) Fry, Millersburg, Ind., and Floyd Fry, Bristol; two daughters, Katie (Lavon) Borkholder, Millersburg, Ind., and Mary Ruth (Kenneth) Miller, Wolcottville; 37 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six brothers, John Fry, Nappanee, Christ (Katie) Fry, Meadville, Penn., Joseph (Bonnie) Fry, Michigan, Dan Jr. (Ruby) Fry, Nappanee, Clarence (Pollyanna) Fry, Millersburg, and Melvin (Rosetta) Fry, LaGrange; and two sisters, Mary Ellen (Vernon) Raber, Abbeville, S.C., and Esther Anna Fry, Cross Hill, S.C.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Henry, Samuel and Willard Fry, and two sisters, Elizabeth and Susie Fry.

    Funeral service was held Thursday, July 2, at the family residence, 4775S 400W in Topeka, with Bishop LeRoy Troyer and home ministers officiating.

    Burial is in Miller Cemetery, LaGrange.
