Jack Alexander Galloway, 83, Oliver Lake, died Thursday, April 11, 2013 at his residence.
He was born April 18, 1929, in Chicago, Ill., to Victor and Doris (Alexander) Galloway.
Moving to Oliver Lake in 1992 after 33 years in Brown County, Ind., he was a Korean War veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was an electrician for Huff Electric. He helped build the Brown County Inn and stayed on with them as their chief electrician. He was a Blue Mason with Masonic Lodge Post 135 and a 32nd Degree Mason with the Murat Shrine. He was a member of VFW Post 1355 in Sturgis, Mich., and LaGrange American Legion Post 215.
He was married September 4, 1959, in Bloomington, Ind., to Catherine E. Mosiman. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Kim E. Galloway, Jasper, Ind.; one daughter, Jill A. Galloway, Oliver Lake; two grandchildren, Jessica C. Galloway, Bloomington, Ind., and Jacob E. Galloway, Nashville, Ind.; and one sister, Janet Marcon, Dyer, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an aunt, Francis Alexander.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
