The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department was contacted by Pretty Prairie Farms on Sept. 5 regarding theft of irrigation wire.
According to the police report, sometime during the overnight hours of Sept. 4 an unknown person or persons entered a field on CR 750N and cut off approximately 450 feet of irrigation wire. The owners told officers the irrigation system had mechanical issues and was shut down on Sept. 4. The system was due to be repaired the morning of Sept. 5 but due to heavy rain, work was postponed until that afternoon.
A yellow adaptor cord for a 220 hookup was also taken.
This case is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department at 463-7491.
