Iris D. “Ike” Dallas, 90, Wolcottville, died Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Ft. Wayne, Ind.
He was born July 17, 1923, in Wolcottville, to George and Gladys (Gordon) Dallas.
He was a famer, ran a milk route in his younger days, drove semi-trucks and was a school bus driver. Many people would know him from his years of working in customer service and parts delivery at CARQUEST of LaGrange. He was a member of Rome City United Methodist Church.
He was married July 17, 1948, in Kendallville, Ind., to Miriam A. Smith. She preceded Ike in death on July 20, 2013.
Surviving are one daughter, Elaine Lambright, LaGrange; four grandchildren, Patrick “Shawn” (Nicole) Gonser, Wolcottville, Heather Neiman and fiancé Mark Shaver, Rome City, Brandon (Audra) Lambright, LaGrange, and Koledon Lambright, Muncie, Ind.; five great-grandchildren, Caitlyn and Cristyn Gonser, Hannah Lewis, Abigail and Aidon Lambright; and one great-great-grandchild, Silas Gonser.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Julia Kelley.
Visitation 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange with Reverend Kevin Brower officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange.
