The twelfth Interra Credit Union office, and the first in LaGrange County, is scheduled to open in Topeka August 5, reports Sanford Miller, senior vice president. It is located at 336 E. Lake Street.
“This location gives Interra the opportunity to more conveniently serve existing members and to develop new relationships,” Miller noted. When Taper Lock Credit Union, headquartered in Mishawaka, made the decision to close its Topeka office, Interra purchased the building. Erica Bortner, current Taper Lock manager in Topeka, has been retained to manage the office for Interra.
The office is located across the street from Tiffany’s Restaurant and features a lobby, private offices and drive-up ATM. Interra will bring expertise in mortgage, small business and agricultural services to serve members and the community, in addition to other financial products and services.
Interra was founded in Goshen more than 80 years ago and now serves almost 51,000 members. In addition to four offices in Goshen, members are served in Elkhart, Middlebury, Millersburg, Nappanee, New Paris, Wakarusa, Syracuse and now in Topeka.
