Indiana Extension Homemakers Association Week

Oct. 15-19 marks Indiana Extension Homemakers Association Week. Members of the LaGrange County Extension Homemakers presented a gift basket to staff for the first baby born this week at the Parkview LaGrange Family Birthing Center.

“We’re all about family,” said Extension Homemaker Carla Whitlock as she and fellow homemaker Nancy Cain gave the basket to the nurses. “Our group decided that, rather than a party for us, we wanted to give a baby a good start.”

The Indiana Extension Homemakers Association, founded in 1913, continues to build on its rich heritage by working to strengthen Indiana homes and families. It is the mission of the association to strengthen families through continuing education, leadership development and volunteer community support.
