Ida C. Petersheim, 78, Topeka, died Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at her residence.
She was born June 7, 1936, in LaGrange County, to Chris and Wilma (Christner) Hochstetler.
She was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She was married December 25, 1958, in LaGrange County, to Melvin J. Petersheim. He survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Rosanna (Galen) Miller and Elsie (Wilmer) Yoder both of Millersburg, Ruby (Marion) Miller, LaGrange, and Dorothy Petersheim, at home; six sons, Levi (Barb) Petersheim, Goshen, Christy (Eileen) Petersheim, Shipshewana, Sam (Mary) Petersheim, Goshen, Lester (Esther) Petersheim, Shipshewana, Elmer (Kaylene) Petersheim, Shipshewana, and Melvin Petersheim Jr., at home; 41 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mattie C. Miller, Topeka, Katie (Elmer) Mast, LaGrange, Anna Mae (Ernest) Schrock, Goshen, Elsie (Harley) Miller, LaGrange, and Mary (Elmer) Miller, Shipshewana; six brothers, Lester (Clara) Hochstetler, Wolcottville, David (Vicki) Hochstetler, Topeka, Harvey (Marie) Hochstetler, LaGrange, Christy (Alta) Hochstetler, Shipshewana, John (Annabelle) Hochstetler, Shipshewana, and Mervin (Clara) Hochstetler, LaGrange; and a brother-in-law, Jesse (Susie) Schlabach, Goshen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Rosie Schlabach, a sister-in-law, LeAnna Hochstetler, a brother-in-law, Levi Miller, a great-granddaughter, Amanda Lynn Petersheim, and a grandson-in-law, Daniel Yoder.
Visitation is all day Thursday, July 10, at the Perry Mast residence, 3880S 700W in Topeka.
Funeral service will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 11, at the Perry Mast residence, 3880S 700W in Topeka, with Bishop Ervin M. Miller and home ministers officiating.
Burial will be in Hawpatch Cemetery, Topeka.
