The Howe School defeated Fort Wayne Canterbury and Hamilton in a triangular boys track meet held last week.
Led by individual winners Conner Geiser and Renatas Issak, the Wildcats piled up 70.5 points in the meet to 50.5 for Canterbury and 26 for Howe. Geiser took first in the long jump (19-11) and Issak won the shot put (44-3.5).
Also delivering blue-ribbon efforts for Howe were the 3200-meter and 400-meter relay units. Andrew Inman, Qu Hou, Jackson Harter and Alec Bonawitz combined to win the 3200-meter relay (9:32.07). Geiser, Quincy Hayes, Trevor Davis and Michael Frericks won the 400-meter relay (49.6).
