Howe man dies after motorcycle crash

A Howe man was killed after the motorcycle he was riding hit a van that was backing out of a residence on CR 450S shortly after 7 p.m. on Aug. 14.

According to the police report, Lois Boker, 72, of Sturgis, Mich., was driving a 1993 Ford Aerostar minivan on CR 450S when she turned into a residence in the 4000E block and proceeded to back out onto the roadway again. She failed to see a Harley Davidson motorcycle ridden by Chase Scott, 22, of Howe.
