Howe dismantles Howardsville Christian

 

Arnas Zabarauskas poured in 25 points and Conner Geiser tossed in 22 to lead The Howe School varsity boys basketball team past Howardsville Christian, 71-55 last Thursday.

The 9-9 Wildcats took control of the game in the first period with a 24-15 run. They increased their margin to 14 (42-28) by halftime and held a 56-42 edge going into the final stanza.

In addition to his scoring, Zabarauskas hauled down 15 rebounds. Geiser completed his night with seven assists and five steals.

Renatas Issak held down the post area for Howe, scoring 13 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Henrikas Gelgota sank a trio of three-pointers to finish with nine markers.

Nathan Foley was the Howardsville Christian point leader with 21.

Howe meets Bethany Christian in the opening round of the Blackhawk Christian sectional Monday night at 7 p.m.
