Howe Cadet competes in speech semi-finals

On March 24, Cadet Jackson Harter, a junior at The Howe School, traveled to Indianapolis to participate in the state speech meet in discussion.

He competed against 41 other students.  After three rounds, he was one of 11 competitors to earn a spot in the semi-finals, something that has not been done by a Howe cadet for several years.

Although Cadet Harter did not make the final cut of six to advance to the finals, it was quite an accomplishment for a first-year participant to compete in the semi-finals.

Cadet Harter is the son of Joel and Denise Harter of Ft. Wayne and has attended Howe since August 2011.
