Herb Borkholder, 55, Shipshewana, died Friday, October 18, 2013 at his residence.
He was born August 27, 1958, in Douglas County, Ill., to Roman and Bertha (Miller) Borkholder.
He was a very active member and elder of the Marion Mennonite Church.
He was married May 15, 1980, in Shipshewana, to LaVera Yoder. She survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Jeana Borkholder, Columbus, Ohio, Judi (Norm) Bontreger, Goshen, Ind., Cheri Borkholder (special friend Anthony Faucett), Shipshewana, and Cara Borkholder, Shipshewana; one son, James (Viviane) Borkholder, Middlebury; five grandchildren, Carson, Kelsi, Jakoby and Jaxon Bontreger and Augustine Borkholder; two sisters, Ruby Borkholder and Judy (Howard) Diener, both of Arthur, Ill.; three brothers, Mervin (Wilma) Borkholder, Bloomington, Ill., John (Susan) Borkholder, Nappanee, Ind., and Lynn Borkholder, Arcola, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life service at was held Monday, October 21, at Maple City Chapel in Goshen, Ind., with Pastors Ron and Char Roth officiating.
Burial is in Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen, Ind.
