Helen J. Whited, 73, LaGrange, died Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Miller’s Merry Manor of LaGrange.
She was born May 22, 1938, in Chicago, Ill., to George Washington and Helen (Chamberlain) Lyons.
Living most of her life in LaGrange County after moving here from Chicago, Ill., she was a retired registered nurse with 22 years of service at the LaGrange County Hospital. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in LaGrange.
Surviving are one daughter, Dianne Whited, LaGrange; three sons, Mark (Amy) Whited, LaGrange, Matthew S. Whited, LaGrange, and Kevin (Lisa) Whited, Lehigh Acres, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Zaphielle Whited, Zeke Whited-Deel, Jeremiah Whited, Serena Whited, Jazzlyn Whited, Aliza Whited, and Alana Whited; three sisters, Mary Ann Lyons, Midlothian, Ill., Fran (Jerry) Dudek, Yorkville, Ill., and Delores Glennon, Rockford Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in LaGrange with Reverend Andrew Martinez officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange.
Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or Masses to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
