Jean Fremion-McKibben was before county commissioners Tues. morning to seek suport for the Headstone Replacement Project for 2013. The county agreed to help with the project of replacing 18 headstones.
Fremion-McKibben said that there is a need for $3000 for this years and commissioners agreed to fund $800 of that cost. Nine of the headstones will be funded by the Daughters of the American Revolution abd the remainder through other funding.
“All of these headstones will be set on concrete foundations and be professionally done by the Wes Speicher family, LaGrange Monument Works. They do all of this at cost or less,” she said.
