Harvey J. Miller, 77, Topeka, died Sunday, October 13, 2013 at his residence.
He was born March 14, 1936, in Chouteau, Okla., to Jacob S.S. and Wilma (Troyer) Miller.
He was a minister and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He was married February 21, 1957, in Topeka, to Susie D. Miller. She survives.
Also surviving are six sons, Glen (Marlene) Miller, Shipshewana, Ernest (Linda) Miller, Ligonier, Ind., Harry Wayne (Marlene) Miller, Shipshewana, Harvey Jr. (Debbie) Miller, Syracuse, Ind., Perry (Anna Marie) Miller, Shipshewana, and David (Sylvia) Miller, Topeka; 10 daughters, Ruth Ann (Dennis) Miller, Ligonier, Ind., Sara (Vernon) Nisley, Topeka, Ida (Fred) Otto, Princeton, Mo., Lorene (Willard) Schrock, Ligonier, Ind., Mary (Marlin) Knepp, Shipshewana, Barbara (Raymond) Eash, Wolcottville, Wilma (Kenneth) Kauffman, Ligonier, Ind., Ada (Earl) Slabach, Topeka, Dorothy (LaVerne) Whetstone, Topeka, and Vera (Devon) Miller, Wawaka, Ind.; 87 grandchildren; 87 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Freddie (Mary Ellen) Miller, Millersburg, Ind., and Raymond (Lavina) Miller, Wolcottville; and three sisters, Edna Fern Troyer, Marion, Mich., Ida (Ben) Miller, Goshen, Ind., and Wilma (Gerald) Yoder, Topeka.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Clara and Fannie Miller, one brother, Toby Miller, and three brothers-in-law, Johnathan Miller, Amzie Troyer and Samuel Miller.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 16, at the Alvin Bontrager residence, 2845W 550S in Topeka, with Bishop Christy Mast and home ministers officiating.
Burial is in Miller Cemetery, LaGrange.
