Harry D. Weirich, 93, Middlebury, died Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at The Courtyard in Goshen.
He was born January 23, 1919, in LaGrange County, to Daniel E. and Elizabeth (Kauffman) Weirich.
He was a retired farmer and charter member of the Woodlawn Amish Mennonite Church. Before he was married, he served in various units in Civilian Public Service. He was also a school bus driver 23 years for the Northridge/Middlebury schools.
He was married October 28, 1948, in Middlebury, to Orpha Miller. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Marvin (Sharon) Weirich, Middlebury, and Darrel Weirich, Middlebury; two grandsons: Caleb (Sheryl) Weirich and Joel (Stephanie) Weirich; two great-granddaughters; two brothers: Harley (Fannie) Weirich, Middlebury, and Ora (Katherine) Weirich, Goshen; and two sisters, Anna (Eli) Chupp, Shipshewana, and Katie Weirich, Sarasota, Fla.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe Weirich and Eli Weirich, and two sisters, Ida Miller and Nona Yoder.
Services were held Sunday, February 26, at Woodlawn Amish Mennonite Church in Goshen with the Woodlawn Ministry Team officiating.
Burial is in Woodlawn Cemetery.
