Harry W. Neff Jr., 91, LaGrange, died Monday, July 29, 2013 at Miller’s Merry Manor of LaGrange.
He was born August 3, 1921, in Jackson Township, Pickaway County, Ohio, to Harry W. Sr. and Marie O. (Nance) Neff.
Living all his life in LaGrange County, he was a truck driver at Sealed Power in LaGrange and Kidd Company in Kendallville, Ind. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of LaGrange American Legion Post 215.
He was married July 15, 1947, in Ft. Wayne, Ind., to Virginia A. Meyer. She preceded him in death on July 1, 1984.
Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Nanette and Rex Munson, LaGrange, and Natalie Sturgis, Kendallville, Ind.; one son and daughter-in-law, Harry W. III and Nancy Neff, Topeka; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Patricia Murdock, Kirksville, Mo., and Phyllis Taylor, Kennewick, Wash.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one great-grandson, Harry W. “Scooter” Neff V, and one brother, Richard Neff.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 1, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 2, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange with Reverend Carldean Merri-field officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange.
