Gladys E. Cullipher, 82, Sturgis, Mich., died Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis, Mich.
She was born November 18, 1931, in Sturgis, Mich., to Sherman and Florence (Brazier) Gilkison.
Living most of her life in the Sturgis and Burr Oak, Mich., area, she was a homemaker and past member of Eagles Lodge #1314. She invented the Gladys Game that has been played by many residents and staff at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis, Mich.
She was married December 31, 1954, in Norfolk, Virg., to Jarvis Cullipher. He preceded her in death on October 14, 2003.
Surviving are one daughter, Alice Walters, Sturgis, Mich.; one son, Terry Cullipher, LaGrange; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ilene Nusbaum, Sturgis, Mich., Rhoda Lantz, Centreville, Mich., Jannita Dewitt, Angola, Ind., and Patricia Gilkison, Coldwater, Mich.; one brother, Arthur Gilkison, Coldwater, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Dorothy Truax and Joyce Gilkison.
