Girls NECC Tennis Results
Fairfield breezed to its fifth consecutive NECC girls tennis tournament championship Saturday afternoon at Lakeland.
Led by four flight winners the Lady Falcons, who went 8-0 in the league’s regular-season loop, compiled a score of 62 points. Next best with 51 was Angola, while Fremont took third with 30.
Haley Bechtel and McKenzie Hochstedler earned singles titles for Fairfield. Teaming up for doubles division crowns were Kaelin Bender and Nicole Murdoch at No. 1, and Mary Shipley and Leah Wimmer at No. 2.
The only non-Fairfield champion was Kirstyn Quandt of Angola, who won the No. 2 singles title.
