Gerry Layne Meek, 52, Angola, Ind., died Thursday, February 14, 2013 at his sister’s home in Carmel, Ind.
He was born January 22, 1961, in Sturgis, Mich., to Noble and Derelys (Elliott) Meek.
He was a graduate of Lakeland High School and received an accounting degree from the University of West Florida. He went on to become an accountant and volunteered for many of the athletic teams at Angola High School.
Surviving are one sister, Lee Ann (Gary) Walton, Carmel, Ind.; six nephews, Layne Elliott, Eric Oxender, Kyle Walton, Cory Walton, Cole Walton, Kwynn Meek; and one niece, Janyn Tuttle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Jan Meek Maynard, and one brother, Kerry Meek.
Memorial services were held Monday, February 18, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange.
